Glaucoma Surgeries

For patients whose glaucoma isn't adequately controlled with eye drops alone, or who have difficulty with drop adherence or tolerability, we offer a range of surgical and procedural options tailored to the type and severity of disease:

  • SLT (Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty) – A quick, in-office laser treatment that improves the eye's natural fluid drainage, often used as an early or adjunctive treatment to reduce or delay the need for drops.
  • MIGS Stents – Microinvasive glaucoma surgery devices implanted to enhance outflow through the eye's natural drainage pathways, typically offering a favorable safety profile and faster recovery than traditional glaucoma surgery.
  • Canaloplasty – A non-penetrating procedure that opens and expands the eye's natural drainage canal (Schlemm's canal) to improve fluid outflow without creating a full-thickness opening in the eye.
  • Durysta – A biodegradable, sustained-release implant placed inside the eye that delivers pressure-lowering medication over time, reducing the need for daily drops.
  • AlloFlow – A minimally invasive procedure using donor scleral tissue to help create and support a new outflow pathway for eye fluid.
  • Trabeculectomy – A traditional, highly effective filtering surgery that creates a new drainage channel for the eye, typically reserved for more advanced or harder-to-control glaucoma.

We'll discuss which option — or combination of options — is best suited to your stage of glaucoma, overall eye health, and treatment goals.
