Dry Eye Treatment

Chronic dry eye disease can cause persistent irritation, burning, fluctuating vision, and discomfort with contact lens wear or extended screen use. Because dry eye has several underlying causes — from insufficient tear production to poor tear quality or inflammation — effective treatment starts with identifying what's driving your symptoms.

Once we understand the underlying cause, we tailor a treatment plan that may include one or more of the following:

  • Medicated Drops – Prescription anti-inflammatory or tear-stimulating drops that address the root causes of dry eye rather than simply providing temporary relief.
  • Lacrifill – An injectable hyaluronic acid gel placed in the tear duct (punctum) to help the eye retain its own natural tears longer, without the need for a removable plug.
  • Amniotic Membrane – A regenerative treatment applied directly to the eye's surface to reduce inflammation and promote healing, often used for more moderate to severe or persistent cases.

Dry eye is a chronic condition for most patients, so we focus on building a sustainable, long-term management plan rather than a one-time fix.
